Brad Simpson’s pretrial date expected in February 2027 for wife’s murder case

His wife Suzanne Simpson was last seen in October 2024

SAN ANTONIO – Brad Simpson, the Olmos Park man accused in the 2024 murder of his wife, Suzanne Simpson, appeared in court Wednesday to discuss a potential pretrial date.

Suzanne Simpson was last seen in October 2024. Her body has not been found, and a trial date has not been set.

At a hearing in late August, prosecutors told the judge they needed 30 days to turn over evidence to the defense.

Judge Joel Perez suggested a potential pretrial date in February 2027 to “finally put this thing to rest.”

The judge previously said he wants to get the murder trial on the calendar for early 2027.

If that timeline holds, a new district attorney will likely be handling the case by the time it goes to trial.
