Man arrested in armed robbery of convenience store on East Side

Juan Carlos Perez, 26, accused of robbing King Mart convenience store on I-10

SAN ANTONIO – A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a convenience store on the city's East Side.

According to an arrest affidavit, Juan Carlos Perez was one of two men who robbed the King Mart convenience store on Nov. 13 at Interstate 10 near MLK Drive.

Perez pointed a gun at a clerk and demanding money from the cash register, the affidavit said.

Perez and his accomplice took off, the affidavit said.

The suspect was identified in a photo lineup and later arrested, the affidavit said. Perez was charged with aggravated robbery.

Perez's accomplice wasn't identified in the affidavit.
