Man assaults family member with hammer, Seguin police say

SEGUIN, Texas – A Seguin man was arrested after he assaulted a relative with a hammer, police said.

Jesse Ramon, 56, was arguing with a man Wednesday near a street when he attacked the victim, police said. He then pushed the victim into oncoming traffic, police said.

Ramon fled the scene, but was soon arrested at a home, police said.

He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical services and transported to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center.
