Man fatally shot after argument at SA auto shop

SAPD: Businessman possibly shot colleague in 900 block of Bitters Road

SAN ANTONIO – A man was shot to death Tuesday night on the city's North Side after an apparent argument at an auto shop, San Antonio police said.

The shooting was reported just after 8 p.m. in the 900 block of Bitters Road.

According to investigators, they received a call from a businessman who said he was being threatened.

Investigators said the call came in just moments after receiving a call about another shooting on the city's West Side.

"On our way to the call we received a second call, a little while later for a shooting in progress." said Sgt. Steven Peterson with the San Antonio Police Department. "First officers that arrived here, found the business owner from this business was standing outside. He said that he's been threatened and he had to defend himself."

When officers arrived, they said they found the victim had been shot once in a back office inside the business.

It is unclear what the two men were arguing about, but a witness said he heard a pickup truck speeding through the parking lot and stop in front of the business where the shooting occurred.

The suspected shooter was taken into custody, but it is unknown if he will face any charges.
