Rosalio Barazza may face life in prison in death of Isaac Arocha

SAN ANTONIO – A Bexar County jury on Thursday found a 22-year-old man guilty in the shooting death of a 25-year-old man.

Jurors deliberated about 40 minutes before finding Rosalio Barazza guilty of murder in the slaying of Isaac Arocha.

Prosecutors said Barazza shot Arocha six times at a West Side housing project on July 20, 2013.

Defense attorneys claim that Barazza killed Arocha in self-defense. Witnesses claim that the victim was unarmed.

Barazza could face a maximum punishment of life in prison.

He is scheduled to be sentenced May 2.
