Man shot standing on South Side street corner

Shooting was reported at corner of South Presa St, Monticello Court

SAN ANTONIO – A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being shot overnight, San Antonio police said Friday.

The shooting was reported around midnight Thursday at the corner of South Presa Street and Monticello Court on the city's South Side.

Police said someone walked up to the man as he was standing at the corner and shot him in the groin. Authorities said the victim was uncooperative and gave very little information.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for his injuries.

So far no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
