Man sought in robbery of North Side ice cream, fruit shop

Robbery occurred June 3 in 5100 block of West Avenue

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers are looking for the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery on the city's North Side.

The robbery occurred June 3 at Señor Mango Ice Cream and Fruit in the 5100 block of West Avenue, not far from Loop 410 and Jackson Keller Road.

According to police, the suspect (seen above) entered the store and placed an order just before asking if she had change for a $100 bill.

Police said the man then reached to his waistband as if he had a gun and threatened to shoot the employee if she didn’t give him all the money from the cash register. 

The employee gave the man the money. He then fled on foot, police said.

Anyone with any knowledge of the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
