Victim identified in stabbing death near West Side convenience store

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has released the name of the man killed in a stabbing on Sept. 17.

Stephen Michael Graves, 56, was stabbed in the torso and killed just after 12:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Ruiz Street.

Police are investigating the city’s latest homicide after a man in his 50s was stabbed to death Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to the store located in the 500 block of Ruiz Street just after 12:30 p.m.

The victim was stabbed multiple times in his chest, police said.

San Antonio police said witnesses told them a man walked up to the Pik Nik convenience store before collapsing.

The suspect remains on the lam.

A man who asked not to be identified said crime is nothing new in the area.

Police said they are looking for a man about 5 foot 5 inches tall, weighs between 140 and 150 pounds, who was last seen wearing a navy blue outfit.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call San Antonio police.
