SAN ANTONIO - A man stabbed another man Tuesday morning over an argument about an electrical outlet at the Central Library downtown, police Chief William McManus said.

The stabbing was reported around 10 a.m. in the fifth floor of the library in the 600 block of Soledad Street.

McManus said a 34-year-old man was using both plugs of an electrical outlet, and a man in his 20s wanted to use one of the plugs to charge his cellphone.

"A fight ensued and the person (who) had the two phones charging wound up being stabbed multiple times with life-threatening injuries," McManus said.

The victim was stabbed three times and was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center, McManus said.

The other man was arrested and will be charged with aggravated assault, McManus said.
