SAN ANTONIO – A North Side home has been the scene of two crashes in just eight days. Now, the family is left to try to pick up the pieces once again.
In one of the crashes, a woman who plowed into the Rexford Drive home was taken into custody on suspicion of DWI.

Officers said she was speeding down Republic Drive when she slammed into the home.
"I'm sitting in my bed, I'm about to go to sleep and I hear a scrape and the engine revs really loudly,' Edwen Sanabria said.
The sound was familiar to Sanabria because it was just a week earlier when another car drove through his garage.
He said his initial thought was that there was no way it could happen again.
"Then, sure enough, the whole room explodes," Sanabria said.
A car jumped the curb and went right through the 18-year-old's bedroom, leaving his room in ruins, with broken wood, shattered glass and insulation everywhere.
"I walked away from it with barely a scratch," he said. "I got very lucky."
Right now, the only thing separating Sanabria's room from the street is a tarp.
Sanabria said speed bumps on the street in front of his home might help, but until the day comes that safety measures are taken there, he is scared
"I don't feel safe in my home anymore," he said. "You just feel powerless. There is no worse feeling, you know?"
