Off-duty BCSO deputy charged with DWI

Michael Magana, 25, is a two-year veteran

SAN ANTONIO – An off-duty Bexar County Sheriff's Office deputy was charged with a DWI early Thursday morning.

San Antonio Police arrested 25-year-old Michael Magana for driving while intoxicated after being pulled over for a traffic violation.

BCSO said Magana is two-year-veteran and is assigned to the detention unit. 

Magana is out on bail. BCSO said he will be returning to work "under restrictions and not to his regular assignment."

He is the second deputy arrested in five days.
