SAN ANTONIO - A friendship that began online ended in violence, according to authorities. Universal City police have arrested a suspect accused of holding a man at gunpoint.

Police said the suspect pulled out a knife and a gun and kept the victim in a chair. He allegedly told the victim he "needed to figure things out,” according to arrest documents.

Steven Lee Guidry, 32, was booked into the Bexar County Jail on charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.

A lieutenant wrote in arrest documents that nine days ago, Guidry went to the apartment of a man he met online. After an argument, Guidry told that man if he made any loud noises, he would shoot him, and held the victim there for several hours.

Guidry is also accused of having said that if police came, he would kill as many officers as he could, then the victim and himself. The victim eventually escaped, arrest documents said.

When police arrived, they say Guidry jumped through a second-floor bathroom window. They said they found a gun where they suspect he landed.

Guidry is being held on a $95,000 bond.
