SPRING, Texas – Two parents are facing charges after constables said they left their daughter home alone for nearly two days to attend a heavy metal concert in another state.
The 11-year-old child's parents, John Michael Guerrero Jr., 48, and Virginia E. Yearnd, 39, are charged with endangering a child, according to KSAT's Houston affiliate, KPRC.

According to the Houston station, constables were called to the home Tuesday to check on the girl after she called a relative and said her parents weren't home. Authorities arrived and found the child cooking food in the kitchen.
"It was clear to our deputy the child was clearly in need of supervision, the laws on child endangerment are very clear,"Â Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman told KPRC.
Investigators called the couple several times, but the phones went straight to voicemail. Yearnd reportedly called back and initially told investigators she was in Louisiana but eventually admitted she was with Guerrero in Detroit for a Godflesh concert.Â
The child said that she wasn't expecting her parents to come home until Friday night.
The 11-year-old is in the custody of a neighbor, according to KPRC.
Neighbors told KSAT's sister station that the couple are good parents and that Guerrero, who they said assembles concert equipment for a living, might have been there for work.
Both parents were booked at the Harris County Jail, where Yearnd posted $1,000 bond.
