Police looking for suspect in robbery of West Side store

Incident occurred May 11 at Family Dollar on W Commerce St

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a robbery on the city's West Side.

The incident took place May 11 at the Family Dollar located in the 6100 block of West Commerce Street. 

Police said a male suspect walked into the store and selected items and walked out without paying. When the man was confronted by employees he threatened them with a knife, police said. 

Anyone with any knowledge of the crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
