Police: Man shot 3 times in critical condition at SAMMC

Incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are trying to track down the person responsible for a shooting overnight.

The incident began around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when a man showed up at the Hayes Food Mart located in the 800 block of North New Braunfels Avenue.

Police said the man went there for help after he was shot three times.

Paramedics were called to the scene and took the man to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

SAPD is trying to figure out exactly where the shooting occurred and why, but police said the 31-year-old victim is not being very cooperative.

A description of the shooter is not presently known.

The investigation is ongoing.
