Police: Roberto Barron may face new charge in wife's stabbing at Bonham Academy

Bond also increased for Barron; Teresa Barron expected to recover

Roberto Barron, 38, was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the stabbing of his wife in front of Bonham Academy.

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police say Roberto Barron, 38, may face an ungraded charge in connection with the stabbing of his wife, Teresa Barron, 38, in front of Bonham Academy in the 900 block of South Saint Mary's Street.

Barron was arrested Tuesday morning after police say he stabbed his wife after she had dropped their daughter off at school. He was charged with aggravated assault and is awaiting indictment on an unspecified charge.

Police say Barron's bond has also been increased from $150,000 to $300,000.

Teresa Barron was stabbed multiple times, but was expected to recover after a second surgery at San Antonio Military Medical Center.
