Police seek driver responsible for fatal hit-and-run of 43-year-old man

Incident occurred March 25 around 2:30 a.m. in 3000 block of Culebra Rd

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a fatal hit-and-run.

The incident occurred Sunday, March 25 around 2:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Culebra Road not far from St. Mary's University.

According to police, Isaias Gomez, 43, was driving his black Chevrolet when he was struck on the driver's side of his vehicle by a pickup truck near the intersection of Culebra Road and Glenwick Road.

The driver of the pickup truck failed to stop and render aid. Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Anyone with any knowledge of the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
