How to watch tonight's Texas governor's debate

Gov. Greg Abbott, ex-Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez square off at 7 p.m.

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and his Democratic challenger, former Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez, will face off tonight for their only debate for the state’s top office.

The hourlong gubernatorial debate will start at 7 p.m. at the LBJ Presidential Library on the University of Texas campus.

KSAT’s Steve Spriester will be joined by a panel of other journalists asking questions of the candidates, including Andy Cerota, of KPRC 2; Julie Fine, of KXAS NBC 5; Norma Garcia, of Telemundo 39' and debate moderator Robert Hadlock, of KXAN News in Austin.

The candidates are expected to answer questions on a wide range of topics including border security and immigration, school safety and property taxes.
