SAN ANTONIO – Hours after the polls closed on Super Tuesday, frustrated Bexar County voters stood in long lines. Some of the them left before casting their ballots at the San Antonio Housing Authority building downtown.
While polls closed at 7 p.m., anyone who was in line before that still had the chance to vote, if they were prepared to wait. Voters could be seen inside the lobby of the SAHA building still standing in line.
Those who had voted said they had waited about two hours to cast their ballots at the four voting machines. Renee Trevino said those machines actually went down for a time, too.
"They were having problems. I don't know if it was with electronics, or if they wouldn't go to the paper ballot," Trevino said. "So people were standing there. There were only four election machines - or voting machines there. All of them were empty for about 30 minutes."
Some voters who didn't want to be identified told KSAT 12 they were leaving without casting a ballot because they didn't want to wait anymore.
