On Monday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m., the candidates will share the stage at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts one more time for a town hall meeting solely focused on how the candidates will tap into the local arts community to create an economic engine to drive the city's economy for years to come.

KSAT 12 has teamed up with local nonprofit Theatre for Change to host the mayoral candidates for "Change the Vote," a town hall focused on positioning arts as an economic engine.

KSAT 12 News reporter and anchor Tim Gerber will moderate the event with Shannon Ivey, Theatre For Change president and Texas Lutheran University assistant professor of dramatic media.

From Theatre for Change:

"San Antonio arts are deeply rooted in tradition, but now they must play a part in the city's evolution. Change the Vote is about discovering how arts can contribute to the revitalization of San Antonio. Artists and arts organizations will use Change the Vote as an opportunity to hear from and be heard by mayoral candidates. While the majority of mayoral campaigns have focused on political issues, the arts community has little information about candidates' plans for the arts in San Antonio. Change the Vote will aid the arts community in identifying the candidate who will best advocate for the future of arts in San Antonio."

To get an idea where the candidates stand on supporting the arts, check out their recent answers to a series of questions:

The town hall is free and open to the public but audience members will need to obtain a free ticket to reserve their spot in the theater. To obtain a ticket and submit a question that may be asked at the town hall meeting, visit Theaterforchange.org

The event will be livestreamed on KSAT.com on the night of the event.
