Senate committee approves access to adult stem cell rights

AUSTIN – A bill that proponents said will save lives is headed to the full Texas Senate for a vote. A committee approved House Bill 810 Monday in a 9-0 vote.

The legislation allows patients with terminal illnesses or severe chronic diseases access to adult stem cell treatments. Right now, stem cell therapy is illegal in the U.S.
