SAN ANTONIO – Investigators for the San Antonio Fire Department believe pool equipment is to blame for a fire Sunday afternoon on the city’s Northeast Side.
Six units were dispatched to a home on Raintree Forest around noon for reports of smoke and fire coming from the back side of the house.

The fire quickly spread to the home's attic.
Crews were able to get the fire out safely.
"There were no injuries, no fatalities (and) all the pets are safe,” Battalion Chief Robert Westbrook said. The fire caused approximately $35,000 worth of damage to the home.
Arson investigators were not called to the scene. Westbrook said the family will have to stay somewhere else for the night.
