2 people killed in Bertram Street shooting identified

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have identified two of the three people killed Monday in an apparent murder suicide on the city's Northwest Side.

Barbara Fennessy, 67, and Christopher Fennessy, 43, died on Monday.

Police say Christopher Fennessy shot and killed Barbara Fennessy before turning the gun on himself. The third person killed police say was a 67-year-old man.

The shooting took place at a home around 4:30 a.m. in the 9500 block of Bertram Street, not far from Highway 151 and Hunt Lane. 

Officers said when they entered they found all three people dead in the living room.

A motive for the shooting at this time is still not known.

The name of the third person killed has yet to be released. 

The investigation is ongoing.

San Antonio police are investigating a shooting that has left three people dead.

Police are at a home in the 9500 Bertram Street.

An officer at the scene said it appears the shooting involves an elderly couple and their son.

Police were called for reports of shots fired around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
