SAN ANTONIO - Rep. Joaquin Castro was in San Antonio on Monday to meet with local veterans and tour the Goodwill Industries of San Antonio Contract Services facility.

The Goodwill agency is digitizing tens of thousands of medical records for retired service members, in hopes that it will speed up the medical claims process for veterans.

Castro will learn how the agency successfully employs wounded warriors, people with disabilities and the general population as part of their mission to change lives through the power of work.

The tour will complete Castro's process for becoming an AbilityOne Champion.

The AbilityOne Program is the largest federal source of employment for people who are blind or have significant disabilities.
