Reward offered in fatal shooting of man on West Side

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are seeking information in the fatal shooting of a man on the West Side.

Silvester Gregorio Garcia, 19, was shot and killed Aug. 13 in the 2400 block of W. Commerce Street.

SAPD detectives believe that two men were responsible for the shooting.  

The accused shooter is a short Hispanic man between the ages of 18 and 22, a news release said.

The release also said the accused shooter’s complexion is dark and he was the driver of the suspect vehicle.

The two men were seen leaving the scene of the shooting in a four door Buick possibly gold, tan, or beige in color.

Anyone with information regarding the men’s identities or their whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (7867).  

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for the crime. Callers can remain anonymous.
