SA2020 says 'impact happening everywhere' during briefing

SA2020 updates city council on progress

Representatives for SA2020 briefed the San Antonio City Council Wednesday on the initiative's progress.

Dozens of goals were laid out in 11 vision areas. Some of them included reducing teen pregnancy, improving education and encouraging fitness programs.

Those involved with the initiative said they are on track to reach those goals by the 2020.

"We're seeing collective impact happening everywhere," said Molly Cox with SA2020. "We see it in Eastside Promise Neighborhood. We see it in education with P16 Plus council, but we're not seeing a citywide, strategic impact like we're seeing here in San Antonio anywhere else, as large of a grand scale as this."

SA2020's annual report will be released in September.
