The new plant will be able to treat 250,000 gallons per day.

The press release did not specify an exact location for the plant, but SARA will build a pipeline in a residential area "in the southeastern section" currently not served by the river authority.

There is also a financial advantage to the new facility. “The Authority could save approximately $994,000 over the life of the loan by using the clean water state revolving fund,” the water board said.
