SAN MARCOS, Texas – Three armed men are on the run after a shooting at a San Marcos apartment complex.
The trio fled the Lodge Apartments on Aquarena Springs Drive around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

Someone at the apartment called police after hearing three gunshots and a woman screaming.
When officers arrived, they heard screams coming from one of the apartments, where they found a man lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Another man was in the apartment trying to save him, officials said.
Witnesses who were inside the apartment told police there was a knock at the door and three men barged in. At least two of them were armed with guns, police said.
The men demanded drugs and money, fired their weapons and ran away, officials said.
The victim was shot several times and had to be taken into surgery. He’s expected to survive.
