Female officers posed as prostitutes in vice reverse operation

SAN ANTONIO – Six men were arrested early Friday during a reverse prostitution operation conducted by the San Antonio Police Department's vice unit, according to preliminary information provided by SAPD.

Two female officers posed as prostitutes during the operation.

Officials: Chinese women brought to Texas for prostitution

The suspects were arrested after showing up at an extended stay hotel in the 11200 block of U.S. 281 North and agreeing to pay for sex, according to SAPD.

The men arrested have been identified as Michael Ornelaz, 25; Martin Ferrara, 35; Alvaro Flores-Miramontes, 51; Abel Trevino, 39; Erasmo Yarrito, 31; and Joseph Aguirre, 39.

Yarrito also had an out-of-county warrant for DWI, according to arrest information provided by SAPD.

A first offense of prostitution is a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to 180 days in jail.
