SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio woman was arrested after police said she said dragged another woman by the hair and waist to a bedroom, where she sexually assaulted the victim.
In an arrest affidavit, an officer with the San Antonio Police Department's Special Victims Unit identified the woman as 35-year-old Erica Ortiz, who is being charged with a second-degree felony.

The victim told police she met up with a coworker, who also brought Ortiz, on Saturday to have drinks at a local bar. But because she wasn't comfortable driving home after having drinks, the woman was taken to Ortiz's home so she could recover.
After using the restroom, the victim said Ortiz "grabbed her by the hair and around the waist and dragged her to the bedroom," according to the affidavit.
The affidavit said Ortiz threw the victim on the floor, locked the door and began sexually assaulting her. The victim told police Ortiz prevented her from using her phone and held her down.
She told police her coworker and a teenage boy, who were also at the home, overheard her screaming for help and while they were attempting to get into the room, Ortiz continued to sexually assault her, according to the affidavit.
When they finally managed to get into the room, that's when the woman said she was able to escape and call for help from neighbors.
According to the affidavit, Ortiz also assaulted the coworker and teenage boy, and a report of family violence was filed that night by San Antonio police.
The officer said in the affidavit that several children were in the home when the sexual assault took place. Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital, where a sexual assault nurse examination was conducted.
Ortiz is being charged with sexual assault. According to online records, Ortiz has since been released from jail after posting $25,000 bond.
