SAN ANTONIO - A 29-year-old Selma man was sentenced Monday to 48 years and nine months in federal prison for production of child pornography.

Vicente Rodriguez Hinojos III was ordered by a judge to pay two of his victims $25,000 each in restitution, and be placed on supervised release for 10 years after completing his prison term, federal officials said.

Hinojos pleaded guilty April 19, when he admitted that from 2012 to May 12, 2016, he produced visual depictions of sexually explicit conduct involving a minor. According to court records, two of Hinojos' victims were as young as 2 years old.

FBI agents executed a search warrant May 26, 2016, for Hinojos’ home, where they seized his computer, USB thumb drives, an Apple iPhone and an HTC cellphone, officials said.

A forensics evaluation of one of Hinojos’ phones revealed the presence of child pornography, officials said.

Hinojos has been in federal custody since his arrest May 27, 2016.
