SAN ANTONIO – On Wednesday, the Historic and Design Review Commission will consider a proposal to break ground on a second Shake Shack location on Broadway.
According to the HDRC agenda for Nov. 15, the GRG Architecture group will propose the construction of a Shake Shack at 3003 Broadway Street, near Brackenridge Park.

Right now, an abandoned building sits on the property.
Natalia Prieto of Giant Noise, the public relations firm representing the project, said the location is expected to open next summer.
"(The project) is almost finalized, but we are waiting on city approvals and should know later this week," Prieto said.
According to records on the Bexar County Appraisal District website, the property is valued at approximately $850,000.
