One injured in shooting on South Side at Hosack, Bloom avenues

One person was injured in a shooting Tuesday at the intersection of Hosack and Bloom avenues on the South Side.

The San Antonio Police Department said two people asked for the victim and were allowed inside the house. They then opened fire on the victim, shooting him three times. 

“We have three hits on the victim — the right arm, abdomen and the scrotum," police said. 

According to police, there were several people inside the house at the time of the shooting. They, along with the victim, claim not to know the assailants. 

The assailants left the scene of the crime in an older-model, red Ford Mustang. Police are describing them as two men between the ages of 35 and 40. 

The victim has been taken to Brooke Army Medical Center in critical condition.
