Man climbs through McDonald's drive-through window, steals cash register

Incident occurred around 1 a.m. at location near I-10, W.W. White Rd

SAN ANTONIO - A man wearing a bandana over his face broke into an East Side McDonald's and stole a cash register by first climbing through a drive-through window, San Antonio police said Wednesday.

Police said the suspect broke in to the McDonald's located near Interstate 10 and W. W. White Road around 1 a.m. and took the register before running out the back door. 

The restaurant manager however said the cash register was empty and no money was stolen.

Police said the suspect was wearing a dark colored hoodie along with a dark bandana over his face and baggy pants.

Employees were inside the building at the time of the robbery but no one was injured, the restaurant manager said.
