KINGSVILLE, Texas – A Utah man wanted in connection with the deaths of a New Hampshire couple found buried in a shallow grave at a Corpus Christi beach is being held in a South Texas jail on a $1 million bond.
Adam Curtis Williams was extradited Wednesday from Mexico to Houston, where he met with authorities from the Kleberg County Sheriff's Office, ABC News reported. Williams appeared before a magistrate judge and then driven to the Kleberg County Jail in Kingsville.

According to KRIS-TV in Corpus Christi, Williams is accused of stealing the couple's 2018 Chevrolet extended-cab truck and white trailer. He has not been charged in the deaths of James and Michelle Butler. The Butlers were in the middle of a cross-country road trip when their bodies were found last week on North Padre Island.
"This begins a longer chapter," Kleberg Co. Sheriff Richard Kirkpatrick told KRIS-TV. "We have a lot to do in this case. We're confident that we'll have our case solved in the future."

Kirkpatrick said that Amanda Noverr, who has been identified as the woman with Williams from a surveillance picture, is awaiting deportation to Houston. She will be extradited with her 3-year-old child, who officials believe crossed the U.S./Mexico border with Williams and Noverr.
Noverr is expected to have a bond similar to Williams, Kirkpatrick told the TV station.
