SAN ANTONIO – A sport utility vehicle crashed into an apartment complex Thursday afternoon on the city's East Side.
The SUV hit a child's bed, but no one was home at the time of the crash in the 600 block of Midcrown Drive.
Police said an officer was trying to stop the driver in connection with an assault when he went off the road and crashed into the apartment.
The man was arrested.
Police said the apartment is not safe to live in anymore.
