WILSON COUNTY, Texas - Three people are dead after a three-truck crash Easter Sunday morning on a Wilson County highway.

The wreck happened just before 9:30 a.m. on Hwy. 123 at FM 426 between Stockdale and Seguin.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Anthony Flores said the wreck happened when one driver, traveling southbound on 123, lost control and overcorrected.

Flores said the driver then collided with a second truck traveling northbound.

Ladona Speer, Charles Redden and his wife Sandra all died at the scene.

The Reddens were in the truck that lost control. Speer was in the other truck that was hit.

An AirLife helicopter flew two other victims, Abel Hernandez and Wayne Speer, to San Antonio Military Medical Center. Both men were in critical condition.

Flores said it's unclear why the driver of the southbound truck lost control.

DPS is now investigating.
