Suspected robber may be behind 'multiple' incidents across San Antonio, police say

Tommy Waldon, 51, taken into custody Saturday

San Antonio police arrested a suspected serial robber Saturday afternoon.

Tommy Waldon, 51, was taken into custody on one robbery charge, according to police spokesperson Jennifer Rodriguez, but additional charges may be brought against him later.

Detectives believe Waldon is behind "multiple" robberies across San Antonio, Rodriguez said.

Waldon was arrested in connection with a robbery reported Friday at a Boost mobile store on East Houston Street. Police said Waldon waited until the female employee was by herself in the store before he entered demanding money.

Waldon didn't pull out a weapon, but kept his hands in his pockets, Rodriguez said.

Police said that robbery is similar to other ones that have been reported recently, with the suspect targeting a female employee and making demands before fleeing the store with money.

Waldon did not say anything to reporters as he was taken into custody.
