SAN ANTONIO – Arson investigators are looking into what caused a house fire on the city's East Side early Saturday morning.
Firefighters said the fire started when a water heater exploded just before 5 a.m. A woman who lives in the home in the 1700 block of Center Street safely escaped the fire.
She told investigators she believes the fire was purposely set. Arson investigators were called in to determine a cause.
Officials said the home is a total loss.
