SAN ANTONIO – Animal Care Services said it has seen a slight uptick in the number of people who have reported a lost pet after Fourth of July celebrations.
The organization offered the following tips to help find a missing pet:

Post flyers with a picture of your pet around your neighborhood and search street by street.

Look for your pet at ACS kennels.

Search for your pet on websites such as Petfinder.com and SApets.com.
If you find a lost pet, ACS suggests having a vet or local shelter scan the animal for a microchip, which could contain the owner’s information.
