SAN ANTONIO – Automotive professionals from San Antonio are coming together to give back to the community at a unique event next weekend.
CarFest will be held at the Freeman Expositional Hall on April 1 and April 2.
Mark Metzger, with the CarFest Development Team, said CarFest is not your ordinary car show.
“It’s the automotive industry coming together to get back to the community,” said Metzger. “We’re preparing 25 vehicles for the community. We have fun stuff for the kids, we have a barbeque cook-off, we have a car show.”
Metzger said the biggest draw to attending CarFest is entering to win one of 10 free cars.
He said he's worked with several area professionals to pull off such a large giveaway, including Blackjack Speed Shop.
“Blackjack is always eager to be a part of something that helps young people continue their growth,” said Jason Peña, Blackjack General Manager. “This is our profession and if we don’t give back to these young people and put them in a position to succeed, we’re going to be lost.”
Blackjack Speed Shop will have multiple dealerships on the grounds and a car show featured inside.
CarFest is happening Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
