BOERNE, Texas – The Greater San Antonio Builders Association’s 2017 Spring Tour of Homes is happening April 1-2 and April 8-9.
The tour will feature 86 homes in 17 communities in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.
SA Live will feature five of the 17 communities throughout the next two weeks.
First on the show is the Esperanza community in Boerne.
“It is truly a master plan community in Boerne, and it has so many incredible features,” said GSABA Executive Director Kristi Sutterfield.
Esperanza described their community as featuring miles of trails, artistic street scenes, and a commitment to preserving the surrounding area’s character.
“It’s got that small-town charm with all the amenities that people are looking for,” Sutterfield said.
Mike Siefert, vice president of construction, said there will be about 2,400 homes when the project is completed.
He said Esperanza will maintain the remaining acres as open space for the residents.
“We have 350 acres left as open space (and) 25 percent will be left as open for the residents to enjoy,” Siefert said.
GSABA donated a portion of Esperanza’s land towards the construction of an on-site school named Hearth Elementary. GSABA will begin construction of the elementary school later this year.
Homes in the Esperanza can range anywhere from $280,000 to $1 million to accommodate diverse household incomes.
“We really have something for everybody,” Siefert said.
