So what's in season in September? Well prepare yourself for a long list. In fall you can grow carrots, onions, baby arugula, sweet corn, green beans, fresh peas, sweet potatoes, red potatoes, culinary herbs, tomatoes, persimmons, pears, melons, watermelons, summer squash, cucumbers, sweet peppers, hot peppers, eggplant, and figs.
Everything, besides tomatoes, are freeze resistant and can last throughout the cold and windy season.

Jovanna Lopez, founder of the People's Nite Market, also runs community gardens in the San Antonio are such as the Madonna Center. Lopez has passion for bringing people together through gardening.
The next People's Nite Market is September 15th at 1314 Guadlupe St.
This place is a dream come true. The vendors are Amazing. The food is finger licking good i have to say it's simply Delicious. I will definitely be back.
