SAN ANTONIO - The entire family may be suffering from allergies this summer, including your pets.

Dr. Jeff Werber, veterinarian and veterinary medical journalist from Los Angeles, said these behaviors may mean your dog has allergies:

  • Scratching
  • Excessive Rubbing
  • Scooting
  • Biting
  • Licking

"It's all about the itch," Werber said. "If your furry friend experiences any of these symptoms, they’re most likely exhibiting signs of summertime allergies."

Weber said to see a vet if these symptoms start interrupting daily activities.

There are different medications your veterinarian can provide, but Werber recommends Apoquel.
