RECIPE: Al Pastor Tacos

Pico de Gallo gives the SA Live audience insight on how to make their tacos

SAN ANTONIO - Tailgating, Tacos, and Beer - Oh My!

To make Pico de Gallo's delcious Al Pastor Tacos at home you will first make the delicious marinade. For the marinade you will need achiote paste, chipotle with adobo sauce, garlic, Mexican oregano, cumin, salt, and fresh fresh pineapple juice. After you combine the ingredients, blend it all up and then soak the marinade in thinly sliced pork shoulder. You can leave it over night and then cook it the next day for a fresh taste. Once your pork shoulder is properly prepared, chop up the pork shoulder, slap it all on small corn tortillas and add any other extras you would like including lime, cilantro, and onions.

This weekend, the UTSA Roadrunners are taking on the Baylor Bears at the Alamodome! If you go, Pico de Gallo will be there with tailgating activities that include free prizes such as FREE tacos!! If you can't make it to the Alamodome, don't worry because at Pico de Gallo Restaurant, they will be having their own tailgating deals between 12 and 6 on their famous Parrilladas. These of course will be complimented with beer.

La Familia Cortez restaurants encourages you to come try their food and drinks at all of their restaurants including Pico de Gallo, Mi Tierra, Mariachi Bar, Viva Villa, and La Margarita all football season long for some sweet deals. They have tacos galore and great margaritas to go along with them. Tacos AND margaritas? How can you resist that?
