SAN ANTONIO - Are you expecting?
There are many choices to make when you're pregnant and Baptist Health System wants to provide you with free resources during your pregnancy.
Join Baptist Health System and the Resolute Health Hospital for its second annual Healthy Pregnancy Event Saturday.
This is a perfect event for expecting or future expecting mothers to meet with the Baptist Health Women's Health team, local OBGYNs.
"Plan on seeing your healthcare provider even when you get pregnant," said Mary Goulais, nurse at Resolute Health Hospital. "Once you find out you're having a baby seek prenatal healthcare and make sure you have a healthy lifestyle."
The event is a free community event.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
"The reality that we live in is that one out of eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer sometime in their lifetime," said Robin Caufield, director of imaging services. "The best way to detect early breast cancer is by screening mammography."
