October 24, 2017 marks the 75th anniversary San Antonio has owned CPS Energy.

The history of CPS Energy, believe it or not, actually dates back to 1860, just a few decades after the Battle of the Alamo (1836).

Every citizen of San Antonio is an investor & direct benefactor of CPS Energy.

The original CPS Energy purchase price was marked at $34 million. The return on the city's investment has been estimated at $7 billion for reliable and affordable power.

Looking into the future
