Cyclists tour South Side, missions as part of Tour de la Misiones Bike Ride

Tour de la Misiones Bike Ride part of World Heritage Festival

SAN ANTONIO – The Tour de la Misiones Bike Ride was held Saturday as part of the World Heritage Festival.

Cyclists of all ages were invited to participate in a 7-, 14- or 22-mile ride, which began and ended at Mission Park Pavilion.

The ride allowed participants to tour the South Side of San Antonio and the Alamo, stopping at each mission along the way.

“This is just a great way to bring all of our community together to promote, celebrate, support our SA missions, our World Heritage Site,” District 3 Councilwoman Rebecca Viagran said.

The World Heritage Festival is an annual event held every year after Labor Day weekend. It overlaps with the Solidarity Day of World Heritage cities, which is a worldwide event.
