San Antonio Tricentennial Commission announces first partners

Announcement took place Tuesday in new offices found in Market Square

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Tricentennial leaders on Tuesday announced more than 40 community partners for the city's celebration, which is to be held in 2018.

The Witte Museum, the Valero Alamo Bowl, and the Fiesta San Antonio Commission and the Institute of Texan Cultures were among the first organizations chosen.

The announcement took place at the non-profit commission's new office in the Centro de Artes Building, found in Market Square.

During the announcement a public viewing of the 90-second video to be shown both in San Antonio and on social media was played. 

The Tricentennial Commission is still accepting applications from organizations who want to become partners. The deadline is Nov. 1.
