What is a breast lift?
A breast lift helps women raise and firm their breasts, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
The procedure – called mastopexy – removes excess skins and tightens the surrounding tissue to reshape and support a woman's breasts, according to the ASPS.
A woman can lose elasticity in her breasts due to pregnancy, breast feeding, weight fluctuations, aging, gravity and heredity, according to the ASPS.
A breast lift will not significantly change the size of your breasts, the ASPS said. Those types of changes need to be done during breast augmentation surgery.
